About the piece
A tango brasileiro by Ernesto Nazareth (1863–1934), the Rio de Janeiro pianist who fused European salon forms with Brazilian maxixe rhythm. "Brejeiro" ("Roguish") is playful and buoyant, its syncopated melody carrying the mischievous charm suggested by its title, here in a version for guitar.
