About the piece
The opening Prelude of J.S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007, composed in the early eighteenth century. Built on flowing broken chords that unfold a single, arching harmonic line, it is among Bach's most widely known movements and adapts idiomatically to the solo guitar.
