About the piece
A solo guitar piece by the Brazilian guitarist Paulinho Nogueira (1929–2003), whose title ("little Bach piece") pays homage both to J. S. Bach and to Villa-Lobos's Bachianas Brasileiras. It weaves Baroque-style counterpoint through a distinctly Brazilian melodic and harmonic sensibility.
