About the piece
A valsa by Dilermando Reis (1916–1977), a leading figure of Brazil's solo-guitar tradition. "Noite de Lua" ("Moonlit Night") is a lyrical, nocturnal waltz whose singing melody and expressive rubato reflect the romantic sensibility that made Reis one of the country's most admired violonistas.
