About the piece
The main theme from Michael Radford's 1994 film Il Postino, by the Argentine-Italian composer Luis Bacalov, whose score won the Academy Award for Best Original Score. Tender and tango-inflected, drawn from a melody that pervades the whole film, it is set here for solo guitar.
