About the piece
An original solo-guitar composition by Brazilian guitarist and composer Luis Leite. Its title, Portuguese for "pinwheel," suggests the light, turning motion of its melodic lines, blending the lyricism of the Brazilian tradition with a contemporary voice on the instrument. The writing is idiomatic to the guitar, favoring clarity of line over display.
