About the piece
A short lyrical prelude by the Spanish composer and guitarist Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909), a central figure of the late Romantic guitar. Its singing melody and gentle chromatic sighs give the piece its title, 'teardrop,' making it one of the most tender miniatures in the repertoire.
