A valsa by Américo Jacomino, known as "Canhoto" (1889–1928), a pioneering Brazilian guitarist who played left-handed. "Abismo de Rosas" ("Abyss of Roses") is among the most beloved of early Brazilian guitar waltzes, its yearning chromatic melody set against a flowing three-beat accompaniment.
